2025 Vestry Class
Vestry Election at the Annual Meeting
Sunday, February 6th at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom
Along with the National and Diocesan Canons, the St. John’s parish by-laws set the following minimal criteria for membership on the Vestry. Vestry members must be a member in good standing of the parish and qualified elector. In addition, the parish by-laws require that at least two-thirds of the Vestry be confirmed adults in good standing. In addition to the above, the Vestry endorsed the use of other “expectations” for each member serving in this ministry that include attend worship regularly, committing to daily pray for church leadership, making a financial commitment to the church’s ministry, and other leadership duties.
Kristine Holtvedt
I joined St John's in 2003, when I moved to West Lafayette from Thorntown. Since then, I served the church as LEM and Lector, as a member of the choir for several years, and as a member of the Vestry way back when Fr. Ed was our rector. I've also served as co-host of the church's receptions following holidays and other events. George Moore and I have co-hosted the coffee hour several times, and look forward to doing so, again, when things return to "normal"!
I joined the faculty of the theatre department at Purdue university in 1990 and have directed several productions (Twelfth Night, or What you Willis upcoming) and acted in several others. I am retiring in December 2022 and look forward to having more time to participate in the many events St. John's offers.
I found a true spiritual home when I joined St. Johns and have relished getting to know other members through the years. My motivation in my faith has been to celebrate the Eucharist, participate in the services, appreciate the wonderful music, and enjoy the community I've found here.
I'm honored to have been asked to join the Vestry and I will serve joyfully.

As a vestry member I will continue to help the church have a voice in the community and to use our resources in a positive way. Kathy and I have attended St. John's for 47 years. We feel St. John's is our home and our family is here. I have served two previous terms on the vestry. Currently I am an acolyte, usher and security person for the church. I have been involved with Jubilee Christmas for a number of years. Kathy and I have two adult children and three grandchildren. I taught in the LSC for 39 years.
Elizabeth Ladd
Elizabeth Ladd first came to St. John's after seeing a flyer about the organ concert. She was drawn back by the full inclusion of all people in the Episcopal Church. Elizabeth is a lifelong Indiana resident and Purdue grad who grew up in the small town of Lapel. She currently works as Administration Specialist at Antique Candle Co., an e-commerce candle manufacturing company. Prior to that she owned River Knits for sixteen years, an independent yarn store where she enjoyed serving the local knitting community and forming many friendships. Elizabeth and husband Brent live in rural West Lafayette, have three grown kids and one very big dog. She likes hiking and camping, doing crossword puzzles and playing along with the contestants on Jeopardy!
Mary Anne Robinson
Mary Anne and Larry Robinson moved to West Lafayette in 2011 after retiring from careers in the California Bay Area. Larry worked for the California Air National Guard while Mary Anne worked at Lockheed Martin. Once the Robinsons became Hoosiers, they began church affiliation at Blessed Sacrament with both serving in lay ministry. But Mary Anne was drawn back to her Anglican roots, so when Larry became too ill to attend church, Mary Anne began attending St. John’s and has found a home here. Larry is buried in St. John’s memorial garden. Their daughter Chelsea lives in San Francisco.
Mary Anne enjoys participating in the St. John’s choir, Lafayette Flute Choir, Purdue’s AC3 choir, Purdue Women’s Club, and several genealogy groups. Mary Anne earned her Mechanical Engineering degree at UC Davis, her MS in engineering at San Jose State, and after moving here earned a second bachelors in Lay Ecclesial Ministry from Saint Joseph’s in Rensselaer.
