Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis
Bishop Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows, a native of New York City, holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture with a minor in urban studies from Smith College, an M.A. in historic preservation planning from Cornell University, and an M.Div. degree from Church Divinity School of the Pacific (CDSP) in 1997. Before being elected bishop in 2016, she served in the Dioceses of Newark, Central New York and Chicago. She is the first black woman to be elected a diocesan bishop in the Episcopal Church.
Bishop Jennifer’s expertise includes historic preservation of religious buildings, stewardship and development, race and class reconciliation, and spiritual direction. She is an accomplished distance runner and triathlete and a passionate chef and baker. She and her husband, Harrison Burrows, are parents to Timothy.
A defining experience of her ministry came when she found herself near the World Trade Center the morning of September 11, 2001. In the midst of a fearful situation, her own faith and that of others who sought shelter alongside her gave her a renewed perspective of faith vanquishing fear. “The Episcopal Church teaches me that the world is filled with incredible beauty and unspeakable pain and that God is deeply in the midst of it all loving us fiercely,” she says.

Bradley Pace, Rector
Bradley has served as the Rector of St. John’s in Lafayette, Indiana since 2013. Before that, he served churches in Youngstown, Ohio and in Wheaton, Illinois. He studied philosophy at Berea College in Kentucky, the University of Arkansas, and the University of Illinois where he received a Ph.D. in 2006. During graduate school, he discerned a call to ordained ministry and attended seminary at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. After graduating in 2008, he was ordained to the diaconate and the priesthood in the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago.
While he always wanted to be a philosopher or theologian, at his my core, Bradley is a pastor. That is true whether he is caring for the people of St. John’s, serving the unhoused people in St. John’s neighborhood, or organizing around racial justice in Greater Lafayette. He is particularly interested in building relationships and connecting people with one another. Bradley loves mentoring new clergy, leading adult formation, and engaging with the needs of the local community. In the Diocese, he serves in a number of ways including recently as a member of the Global Missions Commission’s partnership with the Diocese of Brasília, as a member of the Racial Justice and Education Team, as the Chair of the Examining Chaplains, and as Vice-President of the Waycross Camp and Conference Center board.
Bradley and his wife Katie Elder have been married for twenty-six years. They are the proud parents of three children: Isaiah, Clay, and Jude. When he finds time, Bradley unwinds by hiking and kayaking, collecting baseball cards and watching games, and reading theology.
