New Vestry Class
Normally, we elect vestry members at an in-person vote in November. However, this year, we will elect the new vestry class at the Annual Meeting. There are four candidates for four open positions. Information about the candidates is below:

Molly DePue
Molly DePue is an animal protein compliance professional and avid podcast follower originally from a beef cattle farm in Southeastern Ohio. She is a graduate of Ohio State University (BS) and Oklahoma State University (MS). She has attended places of worship from several different denominations (starting with Catholic school as a child and even visiting a mosque in Toledo, OH), but has found her home in the Episcopal church since 2018. Her hobbies include painting, writing, biking, swimming, and visiting as many parks, museums, and zoos as she can. Her number one passion and goal in life is to visit as many continents (and countries) as she can. So far, she’s 3 down, having already visited Ireland, New Zealand, Czech Republic, Poland, Canada, and Australia.

Becky Dick
St. John’s community opened their arms to my husband Brien and me over 8 years ago and has become our beloved church home. I have met you through the food pantry, sharing ministries, Godly play or potlucks! My goal by serving on the Vestry ministry is to support the mission of St. Johns “...to strive for justice and peace among all people and respect the dignity of every human being, to share God’s love and our lives by reaching out to our community… ”

Tom Melville
Tom is 40 years old and a native of Lafayette. He has been married to his wife Sarah for six years and they have two girls: Caroline who is three and Miriam who is seven months. Tom served in the U.S. Army for six years as an Information Technology Specialist and was deployed to Iraq for one tour. He has associate's and bachelor’s degrees in IT fields and most recently earned a Master of Mass Communication from South Dakota State University. In his spare time he enjoys good coffee, reading, amateur radio, bicycling and electronics. Greatest feat: Cycling 105 miles in one day during the 2015 Wabash River Ride.

Emily Umulis
Our family, including Madeline (14), Henry (12), Lillian (9), and Dave, has been at St. Johns for 7-8 years. During that time I've been involved with the Middle School Sunday School Class, and the Coffee Hour. I appreciate how St. Johns is a place where we are seen and loved, no matter how "messy" we might feel when we walk in on a Sunday morning. In the smiles, conversations, and worship, we have experienced Christ in meaningful ways at St. Johns. Professionally, I work for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, with a focus on Graduate Student Ministry, and just started work on a degree from Luther Seminary. Prior to moving to West Lafayette 12 years ago, we lived in Minnesota, and before that Michigan (GO BLUE!). My hobbies include running, ordering travel books, and making kombucha.
