Meet the St. John’s Rector Search Committee
Through the rest of the year, the committee will be collaborating to identify the best candidate to become our next rector. They will be responsible for the creation of the Parish Profile and submitting it to the diocese. They will review applications and do initial interviews until a small candidate pool is identified. These will be the finalists. All along the committee will be following the instructions of the diocese. Be sure to thank them for agreeing to be a part of this important work.
Search Committee News
Here is a graphic illustrating the search process.
The search committee with help from a few Vestry members and Canon Guilianna conducted the holy conversations with parishioners on Sunday, April 12. The conversations were informative and lively, and scribes took notes that will be helpful to the search committee in writing the parish profile. The second set of Holy Conversations will take place on Sunday, April 19 after the 10:15 service. A light lunch will be served. The search committee met Monday evening, April 13. They discussed the first of the Holy Conversations and everyone agreed the process was successful. Assignments were given to members to begin writing various sections of the parish profile. The next regularly scheduled search committee meeting is Monday, April 20.

About our Worship
We worship using the Book of Common Prayer, first published in 1549 and revised many times since to meet the needs of changing times and peoples.
However, our worship maintains an unbroken connection to the earliest forms of Christian worship. Throughout the centuries, people have found this way of worshiping God to be grounding and fulfilling. Many of us find that this ancient worship speaks to us still, since it is responsive both to age old questions and the new complexities of modern life.
And while our worship can seem complicated at first,
it is well worth the effort.
